Deep South is an online magazine covering the literature and culture of the South. We strive to celebrate Southern literature by interviewing authors, reviewing their books, creating reading lists and visiting landmarks. We will also highlight book festivals and other literary events, along with presenting a roundup of literary news every Friday.
Our Southern Voice section presents submitted fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, while the Deep South Literary Trail App offers a guide to writers’ homes and literary landmarks throughout the South. We also have a searchable Archive section containing all of our content throughout the years, including recipes and travel and food stories.
